The Intro to Route 66

Route 66 Fun Fact – The Great Depression Paved Route 66.

This is the first of many posts in relation to Route 66 and I have no idea how many there will be, but let’s see what happens!!

Firstly, I have to say, everyone should at least try a Road Trip once in their life whether it be Route 66 or across Ireland but it is a must do!!! I would recommend you go with at least one person who you can honestly spend almost every waking moment with. I was blessed to have a friend who was in a position to embark on this trip with me and I couldn’t have asked for a better person.

3268 miles

That is right over 10 days we drove 3268 miles from Chicago right across to Los Angeles!

We passed through the following places:

  • Wilmington
  • Atlanta
  • Springfield
  • Litchfield

Missouri

  • St. Louis
  • Lebanon
  • Springfield
  • Arlington
  • Five Mile

Kansas

  • Galena
  • Garden

Oklahoma

  • Tulsa
  • Oklahoma City

Texas

  • McLean
  • Amarillo
  • Cadillac Ranch
